About Us
West Shore Physiotherapy has been serving the Innisfil community since 2013.
Owner, Kyle Murphy, moved to the area with his wife in 2012 and recognized the need for a high quality, client-focused physiotherapy clinic. The clinic experienced overwhelming support from residents and allowed for expansion into the adjacent unit in 2016. The 2200 square foot facility offers a comfortable waiting room, multiple private treatment rooms and a large gym.
At West Shore Physiotherapy, we base our treatment around the best available scientific research evidence for your condition. In many situations, the research dictates that a multi-faceted approach to treatment is required in order to achieve optimal results. This may include hands-on physiotherapy, specific exercise prescription, use of a variety of modalities, and patient education regarding the injury. We determine the best treatment program based on your goals and our detailed biomechanical assessment. Our assessment not only helps to achieve a diagnosis but, more importantly, allows us to determine the contributing factors which will need to be addressed in order to make a full recovery.
Our physiotherapists are very experienced manual therapists and will use a variety of treatment techniques to address the biomechanical contributors to your symptoms. Local treatment modalities may be used to further speed the healing process and reduce your pain. This may include acupuncture, low intensity laser therapy, ultrasound, interferential current, shock wave therapy, therapeutic/athletic taping, or cupping. Finally, your physiotherapist will likely provide you with specific exercises which will be required in order to fully address your condition. Both the research and our experience has shown that this thorough approach to treatment will provide you with the fastest results and allow you to get back to a healthy, active lifestyle.
